Tortillas and Diapers

Every Tuesday night we go to a small group through our church. Unless one is just learning English and mixing up opposites, small is not a word that can be used to describe the group at all. However, it is a very fun large group!
This past Tuesday we met at Rosa's Cafe to celebrate the creation of Mexican food. When Daneel and I arrived, we found out that we were also there to celebrate the creation of diapers.
Our life group threw a surprise diaper shower for us! (well technically for Baby Nortier).
It was so sweet of them and a great blessing to us!
Plus we love surprises - which is why we still don't know if we are going to have a Junior or a Juniorette.
Regardless, the good news is that our baby now has diapers to last through his or her 18th birthday.
Just the night before we had been trying to figure out the cost of diapers per month. Daneel asked, "how many diapers does a baby use in a day? Three or four?" (a pleasant thought, but very wishful thinking)
At life group one of the girls told us that her 10 week old baby goes through AT LEAST 10 diapers a day. Daneel's mouth dropped open in surprise. It was then he realized that his dream of becoming a diaper changing pro will soon become a reality. :)

Mmm.. tacos and diapers

diapers, diapers, and more diapers

Addison had the right idea sticking to tortillas.
I should have followed her example.
The salsas below were quite delightful but led to heartburn that was not so delightful..
