A sampling of March

The beginning of March brought WARM temperatures - warm enough to eat popsicles on the patio, pink eye, strep throat, and ear infections, as well as our first zoo trip of the season. Some of these events were more enjoyable than others.
The fluctuation of warm and cold temperatures, combined with everything blooming, did a major number on our family. I don't think we've ever been so sick and for so long. The girls both had double ear infections and pink eye. I had strep throat and pink eye. Then Avalon caught strep throat from me. No fun. A very sweet friend dropped by with popsicles and some other fun treats to brighten our spirits.

After antibiotics kicked in and we were no longer in danger of passing sickness on, we took an outing to the zoo. Avalon had been to the zoo before, but this was Julie's first time. Of all the animals we saw, she was most intrigued by the Meerkats. She could have watched them all day long.
