Beautiful Ballerinas

A couple of months ago, Avalon began showing interest in ballet and started asking if she could do dance. She didn't seem to be enjoying gymnastics as much as she had in the past. As she's gotten older, the balance beam and the high bars have really challenged her, and she feels much more comfortable and confident with both feet on the floor. We signed her up for a trial dance class to see how she would do, and she LOVED it. So we made the switch.
She and a good friend, Addie, are taking a ballet/tap class together at a studio that is less than a mile from our home.
Tuesday was our first day of dance, and I don't know which sister was more exited. Julie wanted to get dressed up just like her big sister, in a leotard and tutu. She was pretty disappointed when she didn't get to go in for class. Fortunately her good friend Avery also had to sit outside and watch her big sister through the window. The little sisters were good company for one another and had fun dancing in the waiting area as their sisters danced in their class. Perhaps we will have 4 ballerinas in a couple of years :)

I love this! They were so cute. We should just do everything together so that you can blog about my girls too... then I won't have to worry about being so behind on my blog. :) haha.

So sweet! Maybe Hayden can join Julie and Avery when they start ballet ;)

Way too cute! I would love Evelyn to do ballet in a couple years. But currently, she's really good at dirty dancing: shimmying, wiggling her butt, slapping the booty, pole-dancing, etc. It has me worried.
